South Shields Women aim to reach the Quarter-Final of the NERWFL League Cup when they take on Spennymoor Town Ladies this Sunday (2pm kick-off).
It is shaping up to be another eventful clash between two sides who met just a fortnight ago in the league.
The Moors haven’t played since that game, which finished 2-1 in their favour, following a quickfire double during the second-half to turn the game around.
Meanwhile, Shields picked up a point on the road against Sunderland West End Ladies in a 2-2 draw last week.

Julie’s thoughts
Julie Raffel looked ahead to the weekend’s game, with the team no doubt having a point to prove.
“I’m feeling excited going into Sunday,” she said.
“We took a lot of positives from the last time we played them, and we are motivated to get back out there and put things right.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to push into the next round.”

Kylie Scarpiello said: “I’m thrilled to play this week!
