SSFC Women confirm Brooke Ford arrival

Brooke Ford has become South Shields Women’s fourth signing ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Most recently at Wallsend Women, the defender was named as the club’s Young Player of the Year following a breakout campaign, after being promoted to their First Team in January.

She made 13 appearances for the team as they put together a number of strong results during the second half of the season to preserve their place in the NERWFL Premier Division.

Ford is looking forward to playing her part for the Mariners going forward.

She said: "I'm excited to be joining South Shields Women.

"I'm looking forward for the challenges ahead and giving everything I can to make sure we have a successful season."

First Team Head Coach Alex Miller added: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Brooke Ford, a young and tenacious defender who offers real quality both defensively and in attack.
