Jordan Marshall signs for South Shields

We are delighted to welcome Jordan Marshall to South Shields FC, who joins the club as our first summer signing, subject to international clearance.
The Newcastle-born defender joins the Mariners after spending the last three years with Cymru Premier side The New Saints.
Marshall joined TNS in October 2023 and enjoyed an impressive first season in Wales, helping the club secure the Cymru Premier title in March 2024.
A left-back by trade, the 29-year-old came through the academy system at Carlisle United before building valuable experience in Scotland. He made over 200 appearances in Scotland during spells with Queen of the South and Dundee FC.
After four years with Queen of the South, Marshall signed a two-year deal with Dundee FC, who were competing in the Scottish Championship at the time. During his first season at the club, he played a key role in helping them earn promotion to the Scottish Premiership via the Premiership play-offs.
In October 2023, Marshall made the move to The New Saints, where he continued to develop his experience at the highest level of Welsh football.
His time with TNS also saw him compete on the European stage, making appearances in UEFA competitions including the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
Jordan added:
