South Shields FC Women
South Shields FC Women was founded in June 2013 to give young women over the age of 16 in the town and surrounding areas a chance to develop their footballing skills and be part of the wider South Shields FC family.
SSFC Women is fully affiliated with South Shields Football Club and is part of the club’s FA Charter standard status.
The club is focused on providing the best possible facilities and equipment available to its players at the lowest achievable cost. All abilities are catered for and players are encouraged to develop as respectful and positive young adults both on and off the pitch.

As SSFC Women embark on their 11th competitive season in August 2023, there is a great deal of pride in the team's achievements in its short history, with three promotions to date.
2022-23 – North East Regional Women’s League – Premier placed 4th
2021-22 – North East Regional Women’s League – Premier placed 5th
2020-21 – Season Void
2019-20 – Season Void
2018-19 – North East Regional Women’s League – Premier placed 3rd
2017-18 – North East Regional Women’s League – Northern placed 1st (Promoted)
2016-17 – North East Regional Women’s League – Northern placed 2nd
2015-16 – Durham Women’s League – Division One placed 2nd (Promoted)
2014-15 – Durham Women’s League – Development placed 2nd (Promoted)
2013-14 – Durham Women’s League – Development placed 6th
