South Shields Women Co-Head Coach Sophie Clough has given her post-match thoughts following the lasses’ emphatic 6-1 win over Harrogate Town AFC Women this afternoon.
Goals by Madison Bouggess - who netted a first-half hat-trick - Tianna Hill (a brace) and Kelsi Hoot sealed the three points on the road in the NERWFL Premier Division.
Read below to find out what she had to say about the dominant display in North Yorkshire.
“Fantastic three points on the road with plenty of goals to speak of,” she said.
“It gave us another opportunity to spread minutes across the group and build some important match time for a number of players.
“We walk away very happy with the result and number of goals, but also knowing it wasn’t our best game of football as we let it get a bit chaotic through the second-half.
“Despite this, we were still able to generate a ton of quality chances, which their keeper definitely worked hard to keep the score down in the second-half.”
