Neve Platt joins SSFC Women as fifth summer signing

South Shields Women are delighted to welcome Neve Platt to the club, who joins as the team’s fifth summer signing.
Platt recently played for Maidstone United Women, who made history last season by reaching the First Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the first time, earning them a visit to Plymouth Argyle Women and a trip to Home Park.
Having made the switch to the North East ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, the central midfielder is undoubtedly looking forward to making her mark for the Mariners.
She said: “I’m really excited for a new challenge with South Shields and to experience playing football in the North East.
"Can’t wait to get started with the team and hopefully we can give the fans plenty to celebrate this season!”
