We host Farsley Celtic this Saturday at the 1st Cloud Arena in the Vanarama National League North.
Our most recent fixture saw us at the end of a defeat by Spennymoor Town FC in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
In the league, we most recently made the trip to face Phil Brown's Kidderminster Harriers, who currently sit 2nd. The day saw us leave with a 4-0 defeat, a result that the lads will be looking to put right against The Celt Army.
The Opposition
Farsley Celtic have won just one game in their previous five, a win against King's Lynn having beat them 2-0 away, the only two goals they have managed to score in their previous five.
The Celt Army currently sit 18th in the league on 20 points.
Elliott's Thoughts
I would like to start my notes today by saying it was such a privilege to be a part of the Remembrance Service we did as a Club. From the organisation of the whole event (thank you to all involved) to the special moment of the laying of the wreaths, the National Anthem, and of course the last post.
As a Club, we can be proud of the way we remembered our heroes in the military, both past and present.
It seems as if I am constantly saying it is nice to have a home game after a number of away games, yet today’s game was supposed to be played away, so we are really grateful that we are at home, and we of course would like to thank both the League and Farsley for agreeing to this change.
I can honestly say that our last home game was one of the best performances from a team I have ever seen; it was a joy to watch and the players were exceptional on the day
However, we are continually showing signs of inconsistencies with our performances, which is very frustrating for us all.
We must start showing a more resilient side to us when we play, be aggressive and relentless with our standards and how we play with and without the ball. That is our biggest challenge, but it is one we believe we can do.
