After three tough successive away fixtures, Saturday sees the Mariners back on home soil where the Mariners hope to get back to winning ways against Merthyr Town in their final push for promotion.
The hosts go into the game sitting second place in the league looking to pick up their 25th league win of the season, bolstering their points tally to 84, potentially just a point behind the league leaders AFC Fylde on Saturday night.
The hosts' ferocious front-men, despite recent results, have been in tremendous form, having picked up a combined 10 goals in their last eight games.
Similarly, the visitors come into the game looking to get back into a winning rhythm. Merthyr Town have won just twice in their previous five fixtures.
The Martyrs currently sit a place behind the Mariners in the Enterprise National League North, with Paul Michaels’ side picking up 66 points from a possible 117 this season.
One-To-Watch
The hosts - who come into the game looking to claim three points and gain ground on AFC Fylde - must stay concentrated, composed and focused, particularly when around the visitors’ Lewys Twamley.
Merthyr’s Twamley has picked up 14 goals in the league this season, with two goals in his last three appearances.
So too, the Mariners will be searching for redemption and their first league win over the Martyrs this season, as the reverse fixture saw the hosts come out on top in a 3-1 home victory.
