Flu jabs and blood pressure checks available at King's Lynn game

Supporters are being offered a free matchday health MOT thanks to a joint initiative between two key South Shields FC partners.
Darling’s Pharmacy and Nuffield Health are collaborating to provide free flu vaccinations, blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI) checks at the game against King’s Lynn Town on Saturday, October 21st.
The event will take place in the marquee between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, with pharmacists from Darling’s – the club’s back of shirt sponsor – to administer the jabs to anyone who is eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination.
Anyone who does not qualify for this will be directed to make an appointment or call into one of Darling’s local pharmacies.
Nuffield, who are the Mariners’ 16-19 Academy front of shirt sponsor, will offer a check of blood pressure and BMI to anyone who is also having a flu vaccination, providing an indicator of health that can be used to determine the risk of illness.
No registration is necessary ahead of the day for either service.
This initiative will be supported by the club’s charitable Foundation, which will provide free tickets to the game to some of the community groups it works with.
