South Shields FC will host Sunderland AFC during pre-season as they prepare for a third season in the National League North.

Sunderland AFC will travel to the 1st Cloud Arena on Saturday 12th July, before they jet off to Portugal. The newly promoted Premier League side saw great success in the capital as Regis Le Bris' side defeated Sheffield United with a 2-1 scoreline, thanks to a Tommy Watson winner late in the match to see them win the Championship play-offs and be promoted to the Premier League.

We expect high demand for tickets which will be released as follows.

South Shields FC 2025/2026 Season Ticket holders will have priority access between 10am Wednesday, 11th June and 5pm Tuesday, 17th June. (Limited to 2 tickets per order). Ticket links have been emailed.
Tickets will go on general sale to Home Supporters at 12pm on Wednesday 18 June on line and in the Club Shop between 12pm and 4pm on the same day. (Limited to 4 tickets per order). A link will be posted on social media channels.
Tickets will go on sale to Away Supporters (online only) at 12pm on Wednesday 18 June. Limited to 4 tickets per order and the away allocation for this match is currently set at 1000. A link will be posted on social media channels.
