Caden Kelly signs for South Shields FC

We are delighted to announce the signing of Caden Kelly upon the expiry of his contract at Sunderland AFC.

The midfielder links up with The Mariners after spending last season on loan with Darlington FC. During this spell, Kelly managed to net 6 goals in 28 games from his native midfield role.

Manchester born, Caden started his football career at Manchester City where he spent 10 years at The Citizens before spending a brief spell in Salford City’s academy. The 21 year old then moved to Sunderland where he would go on to sign his first professional contract with the Black Cats in July 2022. During his time at Sunderland, Kelly made an appearance in the EFL Cup aswell as featuring at U18 and U21 level.

Caden brings fantastic international playing experience, having representing Ireland at youth level.
