South Shields Football Club have continued their long-lasting relationship with TGS

Industrial Supplies.

Established in 1987 by partners John Gray and Dennis Gwynn, the TGS group started out as main dealers for Calor Gas, delivering bottled butane and propane gas to retail outlets, colleges and the general public offering same day delivery to the Tyne and Wear area.

They are in South Shields, Tyne and Wear and operate a showroom, office and warehouse facility from our premises. They have grown and expanded into different markets and added numerous products to our range.

What they offer

The TGS Industrial Supplies website offers customers a large range of industrial products such as welding equipment, personal protective equipment, tools, abrasives, janitorial products etc. The company has a very large customer base across the whole of the United Kingdom.

The CalorGas Heaters website was developed to give customers a larger choice of appliances that use gas to power them. The site also includes appliances that compliment this range and gives customers a wide range of products that are portable and don't need electricity or mains gas.

The Camping and Caravan Direct website was developed to give customers a larger choice of

camping and carvanning products. Camping and Caravan are one of the largest suppliers

of camping and caravan equipment, manufactured by global worldwide brands such as Coleman, Campingaz, Grangers, Sevylor, Stern, Outwell, Robens, Easy Camp, Whale pumps, Maypole & Kampa Dometic.

Sponsorship

TGS Industrial Supplies have sponsored South Shields FC for over 35 years and are the longest-serving sponsor in the clubs history.

Being avid football fans at TGS and with the company being based in South Shields, the company quickly wanted to become a sponsor of its local club and help them succeed, supporting them in any way they can. John Gray believes watching non-league football has always been more enjoyable than our illustrious neighbours.

He added: “As a supporter of the club, the greatest day every experienced was winning the FA Vase at Wembley. What a weekend.”

An additional thank you from the club to TGS, only last week they turned up and gave all the 1st team squad a woolly hat with the sponsors logo on, a gift that was greatly appreciated by all the lads.
