The NWH Group, a leading national provider of sustainable waste management services, will be working closely with the club to help reduce its environmental impact, improve waste segregation and achieve its ambitious carbon-negative goals.

Away from standard waste services, the NWH Group will assist the club in meeting its goals of reducing waste to landfill, increasing recovery and recycling rates, as well as setting an example in environmental stewardship for the sports sector.

South Shields FC joins Sunderland AFC in working with NWH Group, whose multi-year partnership was recently announced, highlighting NWH’s growing presence in the sports sector and its ability to drive meaningful change for environmentally conscious clubs.

A growing list of sporting organisations is looking to NWH Group for leadership and guidance in waste reduction and sustainability practices. By forming these partnerships, NWH is helping clubs become environmental leaders within their communities, demonstrating that even industries outside traditional environmental sectors have a significant role to play in reducing carbon emissions and promoting greener living.

Their work includes reducing waste to landfill and improving waste recovery at the Stadium of Light, while also promoting environmental sustainability within sport.
