The Mariners depart for their eighth game of the Enterprise National League North season against Southport.

Midweek, Ian Watson's Shields took on Radcliffe after a tough 2-2 draw with Buxton, where the lads came from 2-0 down at half time to rescue a point thanks to Caden Kelly who slotted his chance into the bottom right corner in the 86th minute.

Shields came away with a 3-0 win thanks to Caden Kelly who made it two in two games, and Cedwyn Scott who secured a brace on the night.

Whilst the Gaffer acknowledged the result as a positive one, he was still critical of the performance, knowing his side are capable of better.

Moving onto Southport, managed by Neil Danns, they have had a tough start to the league campaign, having only managed one win from seven, and are currently sat at the bottom of the table.

They took victory in their second game of the season, at home against Bedford Town in a 3-1 win, with goals coming from Danny Lloyd-McGoldrick, Tom Moore, and Sonny Hilton.

Their most recent fixture came against Leamington at the Your Co-op Community Stadium, in which Danns' side lost 2-1, even though they took the lead early into the second half through Arthur Gnahoua, they were unable to hold onto their lead.

The club’s small car park is for players and officials only. Therefore, supporters have to park in the surrounding streets. There are usually many spaces under a couple of minutes walk but watch out for parking restrictions around the streets.
