MATCH PREVIEW: SOUTH SHIELDS VS SCARBOROUGH ATHLETIC

It's a quick turnaround for the Mariners, as they face Scarborough Athletic at home in the Enterprise National League North, in a midweek fixture, having just come away victorious against Hereford FC at the weekend.

The game was won 2-1 thanks to some tricky footwork from Caden Kelly, who was able to force an own goal, and Sean McGurk on his first start, who sealed the deal, smashing the ball into the top left corner after a clever counterattack.

The Mariners take on the Seadogs, who have started the first quarter of the season very well, currently sitting in third place on 26 points, winning eight, drawing, and losing two.

Their most recent fixture came at a loss against Telford United, who beat the Seadogs 4-1 at their place, putting an end to a ten-game unbeaten run, a result they will certainly be looking to put right.

Team News

Dan Dodds missed out on our most recent fixture against Hereford due to a last-minute call on his hamstring. Dodds will also miss out on tonight's game.
