When the two sides met before Christmas, the Mariners threw away a two-goal lead at the 1st Cloud Arena against Peterborough to draw 2-2 and will be looking to put things right when they make the long trip down to the midlands for an evening kick off.

Shields come into this game after coming from behind to dispatch Farsley Celtic by three goals to one to record their first away win of the calendar year. Paul Blackett netted twice, taking his tally to twenty-two in what is another fantastic personal season, with Mackenzie Heaney bundling in the third as Shields will look to close the gap on the top seven to ten points with a victory.

Their opponents and hosts, Peterborough Sports, are unbeaten in their last six games, with three wins and three draws apiece. Nine points adrift off the play-offs, they will see this as a huge opportunity to close the gap on King’s Lynn further.

Dylan Stephenson registered thirty minutes on his return from injury for Shields on Saturday, with Dillon Morse and Tom Allan the only absentees going into the game.
