Match Information: Buxton FC vs South Shields FC

The Fixture:

South Shields travel to Buxton on Tuesday night as they bid to register consecutive league wins in their efforts to keep up with the play-off chasing pack. An impressive 2-0 triumph over a Chester side who came into the game off a seven-game winning streak, has filled the Mariners with confidence.

They face Buxton who sit just one place outside of the top seven and level on points with Curzon Ashton who currently fill the final play-off spot. The Mariners have yet another difficult test to overcome if they are to maintain their outside push to enter the top seven.

Luke Brennan has netted eight times in just eleven appearances for the home side, with six of them coming in the last seven games. He will be the main threat for South Shields to contend with along with Connor Kirby who has missed just three games in the Buxton midfield this season, scoring seven times.

Mariners forward, Paul Blackett, will carry the threat for the away side after he netted his sixteenth goal of the campaign on Saturday. Dylan Stephenson made his first start on his return to the club from Dagenham & Redbridge and will look to add to his impressive first showing with his first goal in his second spell in the North East on Tuesday night.
