The countdown to the 2023-24 National League North season is well and truly on after the 24 teams set to make up the competition were confirmed.
Shields will compete in the sixth tier for the first time since reforming in 1974 after last term's promotion as Pitching In Northern Premier League champions.
They will come up against some familiar foes in National League North, including play-off winners Warrington Town and the 2021-22 promotion duo Buxton and Scarborough Athletic.
Also entering the league are Scunthorpe United - who the Mariners defeated 1-0 in the Emirates FA Cup last season - following their relegation from the National League.
