Luke James joins Blyth Spartans on loan

Luke James has left the club on loan to Blyth Spartans until the end of the season.

The forward departs South Shields for Jon Shaw's Spartans for the remaining 10 games of the Vanarama National League North campaign.

James played over 900 minutes in 17 league appearances for the Mariners this season, scoring two goals against Darlington and Banbury respectively.

James picked up a finger injury during the Boxing Day clash with his new club Spartans and has been ruled out of the squad since.

We would like to thank Luke for his service this season and wish him the best of luck for the remainder of the campaign.
