Milly Cairns has become South Shields Women’s first summer signing ahead of the 2026/27 season. The young centre midfielder, who most recently played for Norton Ladies, has linked up with Alex Miller’s side as the lasses gear up for the new NERWFL Premier Division campaign. Cairns made 22 appearances for Norton last season, grabbing one goal en route to a record high sixth place finish in the FAWNL Division One North. She also played a crucial role in Sunderland AFC Women’s U
