Natalie May's end of season letter to the SSFC Women fans

Natalie May has penned an end of season letter to the South Shields FC Women fans.

Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to our coaches, Sophie and Alex, for all of their dedicated time and efforts they have put into the team and us as individual players this season.

Personally my confidence has grown massively on the pitch and you can see the growth in this area throughout the team with the support from both of them.

I am really looking forward to seeing the growth and development within the team/club going into next season and I have no doubt bigger and better things are coming!

Thank you to Michael Gowans for always supporting the women’s side and making sure everything is organised behind the scenes; your effort does not go unnoticed by us all and we will always be grateful for everything you do for us!

Thank you to our social media superstar Nathan Bell, our social media wouldn’t be where it is today without you.

It’s fantastic the work you have put in to make sure we get the recognition we deserve and all of the brilliant footage you put together, keep up the good work Nathan!

To all of our supporters that have followed us this season and for many seasons, I want to say a massive thank you from myself and the team - we can hear you all, every game.

Your support is massively appreciated and this is one of the reasons why we love doing what we do, your support makes all of the difference, through not only the good times but the challenging times, so thank you all for believing in us and we hope to see you all again next season!

Lastly, thank you to the club for supporting the women’s side and backing us all of the way. We are all proud to play for such a fantastic club like Shields and we are proud of the badge on the shirts we wear.

This is only just the start for us…
