The Mariners face up against 22nd placed side, Oxford City, who have won four games from their seventeen played in the Enterprise National League North.
Managed by Ross Jenkins, who was appointed in September 2024, led Oxford City to a 19th place finish last season, securing 53 points and safety in the National League North.
Jenkins and his squad travel to the north east having put two wins in a row together, both at home against Hereford (3-0) and Worksop Town (2-0), so will no doubt be looking to continue their form against the Mariners this afternoon.
Ian Watson's Mariners come into this fixture having come away successful in the Isuzu FA Trophy against Dunston, beating them 6-2 at the 1st Cloud Arena, with goals coming from Lennon Wheeldon (x2), Paul Blackett (x2), Will Jenkins, and Cedwyn Scott.
Foundations to build on for Lennon Wheeldon, who got himself off the mark as a Mariner, and Paul Blackett continues his fine goal-scoring form.
