MATCH PREVIEW: SOUTH SHIELDS FC V MACCLESFIELD FC

The Mariners face John Rooney's Macclesfield FC in the Isuzu FA Trophy at the 1st Cloud Arena this Saturday, having previously beaten Dunston UTS in the previous round.

The Mariners entered the competition in the Second Round, beating Dunston UTS 6-2 at the 1st Cloud Arena, thanks to goals from Wheeldon (x2), Blackett (x2), Jenkins, and Scott.

Macclesfield come into today's game having just been drawn at home to current FA Cup holders and Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

John Rooney's Silkmen sit 13th in the National League North, and have taken 6 points from their previous 5 games, most recently winning against Slough Town in the FA Cup and drawing 1-1 with Kings Lynn Town away.

Limited, unreserved parking is available on Shaftesbury Avenue. It is recommended to arrive early to secure your place. More parking is available on Bedesway, with access via Turnstile 5.

The nearest Metro is Bede, a five-minute walk to the Turnstiles.
