MATCH PREVIEW: AFC FYLDE V SOUTH SHIELDS FC

Back on the road, the Mariners travel to Mill Farm to face AFC Fylde who currently sit 1st in the Enterprise National League North.

The Mariners face the Coasters midweek, with the fixture originally set for Tuesday, 4th, however, with our progression into the First Round of the FA Cup, it was agreed that the fixture would be moved a day ahead.

AFC Fylde have won four from their last five, most recently a 1-0 away win against Marine, with Luca Thomas scoring in the 54th minute to take the three points.

Craig McMahon took the Coasters job at the start of the season, after spending last season as player/manager at Curzon Ashton. It’s been an impressive start for the former National League side, who have won 11 games from their 15 played.

Their top goalscorer is Danny Ormerod who has scored 10 goals this season after coming through Fylde’s academy.

Ian Watson’s Mariners will be looking to bounce back from their most recent league fixture against Macclesfield, who handed their first league defeat of the season.

This fixture is served as Fylde’s official Remembrance fixture, as we pay tribute to all those who serve and have served in the military
