Mariners to take on Pontefract as pre-season opponent changes

South Shields will now take on Pontefract Collieries on Saturday, July 30th after initial opponents Shildon were forced to withdraw from the fixture.

The pre-season friendly will kick-off at 3pm at 1st Cloud Arena.

Shildon had initially been confirmed as the Mariners’ opponents, but they are no longer able to fulfil a fixture on that date.

Their fellow Pitching In Northern Premier League East side Pontefract have stepped in to take their place, and ticket details for that match – as well as the friendlies against Scarborough Athletic and Dunston – will be released in due course.
