Lucas De Bolle signs for South Shields

We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder, Lucas De Bolle.
Lucas (22) links up with the Mariners after spending several years at Newcastle United.
Lucas featured on the bench four times for Newcastle United in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season and most recently during Newcastle United's Champions League away fixture against Borussia Dortmund in 2023.
During the end of the 23/24 season, De Bolle travelled to Australia and played 20 minutes against Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur as well as 45 minutes against A-League All Stars.
De Bolle has previous experience in the U18's Premier League scoring 6 goals and assisting 3. Lucas also spent time on loan at Hamilton Academical making 17 appearances in the Scottish Championship and scoring his first senior goal in a 3-0 win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
In March 2022, he was called up to the Scotland National U21's where he made 2 appearances.
