Dillon Morse to have testimonial fixture

We are delighted to announce that our pre-season fixture against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, August 1st, will be to honour club legend, Dillon Morse.

Dillon Morse has featured in 353 games for the Mariners, registering 35 goals, and has seen the club rise up the English football pyramid from Northern League Division One to the Enterprise National League North, taking part in three promotions and winning six trophies.

The centre-half joined South Shields in 2016 from Blyth Spartans and was a vital member of the treble-winning side in 2016-17, scoring in the FA Vase Final against Cleethorpes.

For those who were there that day, the image is etched into their memories forever, Dillon Morse soaring above everyone else to head home the second goal at Wembley in the 2017 FA Vase Final.

We are excited to honour Dillon for his outstanding service to the club over the past ten years, and we hope that all of you can join us for this special occasion.
