The club can confirm the departure of Conor Tee by mutual consent.
Tee joined the Mariners in the summer of 2021 and made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.
South Shields manager Kevin Phillips said: “We have had several conversations with Conor over the summer over our plans for the squad and bringing players in.
“Conor is a great lad with lots of good attributes, but he had a limited amount of game-time under me last season and I couldn’t guarantee him an increased amount of minutes next season.
“He wants to play football and I agreed that if he found a suitable club, we would be happy for him to talk with them and move on, which he has done.
“Conor’s attitude has been excellent throughout the time I’ve known him and we of course thank him for his efforts with the club. We wish him all the very best for his future.”
