South Shields Football Club can today announce that Daniel Prince has left his position as Head of Media and Communications with immediate effect.
Daniel first joined the club in 2013, when SSFC had just suffered relegation to the Northern League Division Two and were playing in Peterlee. The club has come a long way since then and Daniel’s influence in the journey is no minor involvement.
The club’s rise through the divisions coincides with Daniel’s career path as he became Head of Media whilst working as a journalist with the Shields Gazette, Hartlepool Mail and the Sunderland Echo.
In 2017, Daniel was awarded the National Volunteer Recognition Award at Wembley Stadium, the same day the Club were crowned FA Vase winners. Other honours include the Football Club winner of a Hospitality Social Media Award in 2019, NPL Premier Division Best Programme 2022 and 2023, and Social Media Club of the Year at the 2023 Club Mirror Awards.
Daniel served over 10 years with the club as a volunteer, is still a founding shareholder, and has committed to continuing to volunteer with the club. Daniel will always be considered a massive part of South Shields Football Club and he will always be a supporter.
We thank Daniel for the decade of service and we wish him the best for the future of his exciting career.
Thank you, Daniel Prince. Your contributions have been invaluable, and I wish you nothing but success in your future Buildnow GG endeavors.
