Glen Stidolph was appointed as an Executive Director at South Shields FC in March 2022.
Also the CEO of Catenate Sdn Bhd, and founder of Revosport Asia, Glen is a seasoned commercial sports marketing professional who was based in Malaysia and Indonesia from 1995.
His initial introduction into sports marketing was in 1996, when he promoted the Sepang F1 circuit through business-to-business seminars across Europe with the Malaysian Minister for International Trade and Industry.
After over a decade of successful projects in Malaysia, the company expanded its sports marketing and consultancy operations into Indonesia in 2013, providing a range of innovative consultancy services and sports/entertainment-based tactical consumer engagement/activation solutions for governments, government-linked companies, rights holders, rights owners, federations, sports clubs and international brands.
Working on interests across all sports, many of the major contracts secured have been football-based, working with the rights holders for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in both countries, the Indonesian Super League, Euro 2016 and more recently was a founder of the company that successfully bid for the exclusive all-rights for the 2018 FIFA World Cup for Indonesia.
The 2018 World Cup was the catalyst to try to develop more performance-based sponsorship models, using digital and big data to clearly define and achieve client key performance indicators. COVID-19 has accelerated the sports technology sector, leading to involvement and investment in a globally-scalable real time fan engagement and social commerce platform called mySPORT, to be launched in 2022.
Glen is part of the SSFC leadership team as an executive board member, with the responsibility of growing core revenues and introducing new revenue streams into the club as well as expanding the club’s regional, national and international reach.
